Today is my last day... I am a little sad, It was a pleasure to be in this great city and met excellent people...

New York - Musicals (Day 2)

Broadway is a prominent avenue in New York City, United States, which runs through the full length of the borough of Manhattan and continues northward through the Bronx boroug.

In this avenue there are a lot of interesting places, one of them is Theater District or the Great White Way. It´s where Broadway crosses Seventh Avenue in midtown Manhattan. This place is the home of many Broadway theatres housing large-scale plays, particularly musicals.

In the Time Square Visitor Center you can obtain information about every Musicals, but the tickets is little expensive. There is other place to buy tickets. Its name is TKTS. It is in Time Square. This place offers discounts to buy tickets. Discounts are available in the same day of the show. For example if the show starts at 8:00 PM, discounts will be available from 2 or 2:30 PM. There are a lot of prices to see the shows, it depends of the location.

I had the oportunity to see the Musical called Chicago. The price of the ticket was US$26.50, but I had to watch the show standing, because it is the cheapest ticket. I had to buy it because when I was going to buy the ticket, the cheapest in TKTS costed US$89 (so expensive to me). I had to buy the ticket in the theater, few minutes before the show.

New York - Hotel (Day 2)

I stayed in the hotel Fairfield Inn By Marriott. Its address is 850 Patterson Plank Road - East Rutherford, NJ. It´s a nice and comfortable. It´s far away of the center of New York, but there is a public bus to get the hotel.

New York - M&M Store (Day 2)

Near Time Square is the M&M Store. It´s nice, but I little expensive

New York Arraiving, Time Square, Rockefeller Center (First-Second Day (Day 7-8 Canada Trip))

In this long weekend (the weekend was long because there were a holiday, the thanksgiving), I have enjoyed a nice city... New York. I think this city is awesome, but also noisy and a little disordered. I have travelled to New York during my 7th and 8th day of the trip. We have visited Midtown Manhattan and Downtown Manhattan.

The pictures that there are in this post are the places that I remember and I can say something. There are a lot of pictures that I don´t remember the name of the places or details.

The departure was at 8 pm and I have get New York at 8 am or little later. I have to say we have made a couple of stops and we spend 2 hours in the control to get into US. After we have arrived, we made a little tour. One place where we were was Time Square.

Time Square is in Midtown Manhattan at the junction of the Seventh Avenue and Broadway. It´s a commercial place and there are a lot of theaters and huge advertisements.

The building in the first picture is empty. The designer said that advertisements are enough to maintain this building... and I think so...

Times Square was renamed in April 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the newly erected Times Building, which is now called One Times Square and is the site of the annual ball drop on New Year's Eve.

Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 buildings. It is in Midtown Manhattan. The main building is GE Building o RCA Building. In the top of of this building is the famous place "Top of the Rock" where you can go up and see nice views. This building has 70 floors. It´s high is 259 m.

After 10 minutes of walking to the house with the baggage, I´ve get the street. It looks like Google Maps shows that, but It was a sorprise when I saw the stairs that I had to go up
